On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, the Red Cross is participating in a global day dedicated to giving, #GivingTuesday. Last year, more than 27,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate Giving Tuesday. Since its founding in 2012, Giving Tuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours and activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite YOU to join the movement and give this year.
Non-profits across the country use Giving Tuesday as a chance to share their story and ask for support. The American Red Cross launched a social campaign highlighting our favorite stories from the past year. These narratives have inspired us, humbled us and made us proud to be Red Crossers. They show everyday heroes in action – stories where taking a lifesaving training course helped to save a life, volunteers spreading the word about fire safety, even our work overseas.
